Hello everyone! I am a graduate student trying to gather data on the perspectives of autistic individuals and/or the caregivers of autistic individuals. Specifically, I’m looking at college expectations and experiences and what kind of supports would be useful to help people succeed in college. This survey will be used to help develop a program for autistic individuals at Marquette University called On Your Marq (more information here: http://www.marquette.edu/disability-services/OnYourMarq.shtml).
As a neurodivergent person myself, I know that many programs and services for neurodivergent individuals do not seek the input of the people they are attempting to serve. Marquette University is interested in hearing directly from autistic people and caregivers that are involved in the college process, and I am hoping to use this research to amplify autistic voices.
If you are under 18, you will need parental permission to participate in the study. However, the survey is open to autistic individuals and caregivers of autistic individuals of all ages. If you are an autistic individual and are: a) planning to attend college, b) currently in college, or c) have previously attended college (whether or not you graduated), or are the caregiver of such an individual, your participation in the survey would be greatly appreciated. Whether you participate or not, please share this survey with anyone you think might be interested.
Thank you!
